Pintor chileno-italiano, Licenciado en Bellas Artes Universidad de Chile, radicado en España desde 2001. Distinguido con la Beca Excelencia Académica proceso de admisión 1991 a las universidades chilenas. Primer premio concurso Arte en Vivo en 1994 y la beca de posgrado Fundación Arte y Autores Contemporáneos en 2001. Fundador en Madrid del proyecto artístico Decinti Villalón en 2003, junto al artista chileno-español Oscar Villalón. Desde 2009 es colaborador y promotor del proyecto Ramírez Máro Institute junto al artista alemán Rafael Ramírez Máro. En 2011 funda DeArtibus proyecto artístico basado Barcelona hasta 2013. En 2019 funda DeCinti Villalón México en la ciudad de San Miguel de Allende junto a los artistas mexicanos Heder Contreras y Emmanuel Sierra.
Su labor se concentra exclusivamente en la creación, enseñanza y promoción de obras artísticas pintadas con medios tradicionales, que contienen reflexiones en torno a la cultura y espiritualidad universal, el ser americano y la identidad chilena.
Profundamente inspirado en la filosofía de Santo Tomás de Aquino, Cornelio Fabro, Christian Ferraro y Étienne Gilson. En 2020 aceptó el desafío universal del Consejo Pontificio para la Cultura del Vaticano de investigar y desarrollar su trabajo a lo largo del camino de la “Via Pulchritudinis”. Combate activamente la leyenda negra anticatólica, la falsificación histórica y los errores filosóficos que desgastan a la sociedad cristiana occidental a través del arte y la cultura modernista, secularista, materialista y atea. Contribuyendo al movimiento cultural contrarrevolucionario por la sana doctrina y en obediencia a la Santa Iglesia Católica Apostólica y Romana.
2019 Junto a los artistas mexicanos Heder Contreras y Emmanuel Sierra para funda el proyecto artístico DV México, con sede en San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, México.
2012 Funda el proyecto artístico DeArtibus, con sede en el tradicional barrio de Gràcia en Barcelona.
2009 Colabora activamente en la creación del Instituto Ramirez Maro con sede en Hauset, Bélgica.
2006 Funda la academia de pintura DV Madrid con sede en Chamberí, Madrid. Donde se imparten cursos de pintura y se realiza una intensa actividad de promoción de la pintura.
2004-2006 Junto al Artista Chileno Oscar Villalón, funda el Estudio de Pintura Decinti Villalón C.B con sede en Calle del Castillo , 4. Chamberí, Madrid.
2003 Junto al artista chileno Oscar Villalón funda el Estudio de Arte Solana 12, donde imparte regularmente cursos Madrid, España.
2003 Conoce al artista alemán Rafael Ramírez Máro, con el que comenzará una profunda relación artística.
2001-2003 Profesor de pintura y dibujo para La Academia en las sedes de Chinchón y Madrid, donde colabora en el taller de imagen digital.
2001 Se le concede la Beca de Post grado de Fundación Arte y Autores Contemporáneos.
1996 Obtiene la Licenciatura en Artes Plásticas en el año 1996.
1994 Se inicia en la tecnología digital aplicada al diseño y al arte, recibiendo además el primer lugar en el concurso de pintura Arte en Vivo organizado por Librerías Nacional, KLM y la Real Embajada de los Países Bajos.
1992 Se concentra en la investigación de procedimientos y materiales de pintura
Inicia su labor docente en cursos de pintura de la Federación de Estudiantes de Chile (FECH), en el transcurso de 9 años en Santiago de Chile, será profesor de dibujo y pintura en: Casa de la Cultura de la Municipalidad de La Cisterna. Instituto Cultural de la Municipalidad de La Florida. Club social de la colonia inglesa, Prince of Wales Country Club. Club social de la colonia española, Estadio Español. Alejandro Decinti nace en 1973 en Santiago de Chile.
Temas
El artista presenta una sutil conexión de cinco grandes ciclos temáticos: teología, moralismo, mitología grecolatina, mitología maya y mapuche. Siempre es consciente de la gran dificultad que entraña cada uno de ellos por la grandeza y complejidad que entrañan. Esta diversidad es compartida por el aspecto fundacional de la historia, la cultura y el alma de los seres humanos. A través de la experiencia metafísica común del ser, como humanidad y su relación trascendental con la realidad que la invade, se desborda exaltando su sentido natural de lo divino hasta alcanzar niveles de sobrenaturalidad determinados esencialmente por la proximidad de la verdad teológica de la revelación. Investigación y desarrollo artístico, filosófico y espiritual. Su obra profundiza en las amplias inquietudes de su propuesta más personal, inicialmente oscura y desdibujada, sólo iluminada por débiles destellos de intuición, que ha ido clarificándose y consolidándose a través de una obra que refleja su honestidad y esfuerzo, convirtiéndola en una obra muy personal. Propuesta de pintura contemporánea con un enfoque técnico y temático tradicional. Intenta ahondar en los misterios originales de la conciencia y la libertad escondidos en el silencio insondable del buen Dios.
Via Pulchritudinis
En el ciclo de teología, intenta poner en juego las aportaciones iconográficas cristianas orientales y occidentales, reunidas y actualizadas con una personal sensibilidad contemporánea. El artista es consciente de la dificultad que entraña este desafío y elige los principales hitos de la revelación, presentados en el tradicional esquema del santo rosario, para progresivamente ampliar y perfeccionar las propuestas y profundizar en el misterio de la espiritualidad.
Nave de necios
El ciclo moralista está basado en la obra satírica “El barco de los tontos”, publicada en Basilea en el siglo XV (en su título original en alemán, Das Narrenschiff; en su traducción latina, Stultifera Navis) escrita por Sebastian Brand. En una sucesión de 112 episodios críticos, cada uno de ellos acompañado de un grabado, critica los vicios de su época denunciando distintos tipos de necedad o estupidez. Una reflexión sobre el tema del mal y su fundamento en la libertad metafísica radical del ser humano.
Mitología grecolatina
En el ciclo de mitología grecolatina, el pintor ofrece una relectura de las Metamorfosis de Ovidio, una brillante obra poética dividida en quince libros publicados en el año 8 d.C., que narran la historia del mundo desde su creación hasta la deificación. de Julio César, combinando la mitología y la historia de la época con una belleza y libertad excepcionales.
Mitología americana
En el ciclo mitológico maya, el artista busca representar en estilos tradicionales occidentales las historias que se plasman en el libro “Popol Vuh”, también conocido como “El Libro del Consejo”, presumiblemente recopilación de textos e historias orales de la época. Siglo XVI creado por Fray Francisco Ximénez. Gran parte de la sabiduría y muchas de las tradiciones mayas se atesoran en un compendio de aspectos de gran importancia como la religión, la astrología, la mitología, las costumbres, la historia y las leyendas que narran el origen del mundo y la civilización, así como las muchas Fenómenos que ocurren en la naturaleza.
Mitología chilena
En el ciclo de Mitología mapuche el artista se apoya en el apasionante trabajo de investigación titulado “Trentrenfilú” del italiano Alberto Trivero. Logró viajar y entrevistar a varios pobladores del sur de Chile a finales del siglo XX y a pura constancia recopiló los principales mitos cosmogónicos que se transmiten de generación en generación. Etnia inmortalizada en el importante poema épico español del siglo XVI “La Araucana” de Don Alonso de Ercilla, que será fuente de un nuevo ciclo de pinturas sobre la formación de la identidad chilena.
Técnica
La técnica consiste en pinturas al óleo tradicionales a las que se les añade resinas alquídicas que aportan excelentes propiedades de secado y estabilidad a la capa pictórica. La paleta de colores se basa principalmente en colores primarios y algunos colores tierra. Los fondos son blancos con imprimaciones que suelen ser de color medio, a veces frías -en grises azulados o verdosos- o cálidas -en tierras u óxidos de hierro-. La obra está firmemente anclada en los últimos 500 años de tradición técnica de la pintura al óleo e incluye la contribución de la tecnología digital y la fotografía.
Para el artista ha sido interesante y particularmente deseable abordar estos temas con un lenguaje que sintetice y contenga la gran amplitud de recursos plásticos y visuales que hemos ido acumulando como cultura. Es el resultado de un estudio de toda una vida de obras clásicas, técnicas de pintura, líneas geométricas y armónicas, con gran énfasis en el modelado del claroscuro. El tratamiento de la luz y la composición intenta involucrar al espectador y hacerlo partícipe de la escena que aparece de forma viva e intensa ante sus ojos.
Consciente de los valores artísticos contemporáneos pero muy respetuoso del imperio de la sensibilidad artística personal, el pintor ha encontrado necesario e imprescindible abordar esta forma de “buen hacer” desde la perspectiva del artesano tradicional, como una forma de mantener el gusto por este noble y antiguo -pero siempre actual- oficio de pintar vivo.

Alejandro DeCinti (1973)
Italian-Chilean painter, graduate in Fine Arts from the University of Chili, based in Spain since 2001. Awarded with the Academic Excellence Scholarship in the 1991 admission process to Chilean universities. First prize in the Arte en Vivo contest in 1994 and awarded the postgraduate grant from Fundación Arte y Autores Contemporáneos in 2001. Founder of the Decinti Villalón art project in Madrid, 2003, together with Chilean-Spanish artist Oscar Villalón.
He has been a collaborator and promoter of the Ramírez Máro Institute project since 2009 together with the German artist Rafael Ramírez Máro. In 2011 he founded DeArtibus, an art project in Barcelona, up to 2013. In 2019 he founded the group El Bloque, a DeCinti Villalón project, in Mexico with Mexican artist Heder Contreras. He has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Europe and America.
Deeply inspired by the philosophy of Saint Thomas Aquinas, Cornelio Fabro, Christian Ferraro and Étienne Gilson. In 2020 he embraced the challenge of the Vatican’s Pontifical Council for Culture to investigate and develop his work along the path of the “Via Pulchritudinis”. He actively combats the anti-Catholic black legend, historical falsification and philosophical errors that wear down Western Christian society through modernist, secularist, materialist and atheist art and culture. Contributing to the cultural counter-revolutionary movement for sound doctrine and in obedience to the Holy Catholic Apostolic and Roman Church.

Alejandro Decinti was born in 1973 in Santiago de Chile.
Themes
The artist presents a subtle connection of five great thematic cycles: theology, moralism, Greco-Latin mythology, Mayan and Mapuche mythology. He is always mindful of the major difficulty involved in each of them due to the grandeur and complexity they entail. This diversity is shared by the foundational aspect of humans’ history, culture and soul. Through the common metaphysical experience of the being, as humanity and its transcendental relationship with the reality that invades it overflows, exalting its natural sense of the divine to reach levels of supernaturalness essentially determined by the proximity of the theological truth of revelation. Research and artistic, philosophical, and spiritual development. His work dives into the wide-ranging concerns of his most personal proposal, initially dark and blurred, only illuminated by faint flashes of intuition, which has been clarified and consolidated through a work that reflects his honesty and hard work, making it a very personal contemporary painting proposal with a traditional technical and thematic approach. It attempts to delve into the original mysteries of conscience and freedom hidden in the good Lord’s unfathomable silence.
Via Pulchritudinis
In the theology cycle, he attempts to bring the Christian Eastern and Western iconographic contributions into play, gathered and updated with a personal contemporary sensibility. The artist is aware of the difficulty involved in this challenge, and chooses the main milestones of the revelation, presented in the traditional scheme of the holy rosary, to progressively broaden and perfect the proposals while going into depth into the mystery of spirituality.
Ship of fools
The moralist cycle is based on the satirical work “Ship of fools”, published in Basilea in the 15th century (in its original title in German, Das Narrenschiff; in its Latin translation, Stultifera Navis) written by Sebastian Brand. In a succession of 112 critical episodes, each accompanied by an engraving, it criticizes the vices of his time by denouncing different types of foolishness or stupidity. A reflection on the theme of evil and its foundation in human beings’ radical metaphysical freedom.
Greco-Latin Mythology
In the cycle of Greco-Latin mythology, the painter offers a re-reading of Ovid’s Metamorphoses, a brilliant poetic work in fifteen books published in 8 A.D., which narrate the history of the world from its creation to the deification of Julius Caesar, combining mythology and the history of the time with exceptional beauty and freedom.
American mythology
In the Mayan mythological cycle, the artist seeks to represent the stories in a traditional Western styles that are depicted in the book “Popol Vuh”, also known as “The Council Book”, presumably compilation of texts and oral stories from the 16th century created by Fray Francisco Ximénez. Much of the wisdom and many of the Mayan traditions are treasured in a compendium of aspects of great importance such as religion, astrology, mythology, customs, history and legends that tell the story of the origin of the world and civilization as well as the many phenomena that occur in nature.
Chilean mythology
In the cycle of Mapuche mythology the artist relies on the exciting research work entitled “Trentrenfilú” by the Italian Alberto Trivero. He managed to travel and interview several southern Chilean settlers at the end of the 20th century and through sheer perseverance gathered the main cosmogonic myths that are transmitted from generation to generation. An ethnic group immortalized in the important 16th century Spanish epic poem “La Araucana” by Don Alonso de Ercilla, which will be the source of a new cycle of paintings on the formation of Chilean identity.
Technique
The technique consists of traditional oil paintings with added alkyd resins that provide excellent drying properties and stability to the paint layer. The colour palette is mainly based on primary and some earth colours. The backgrounds are white with primers that are usually medium coloured, sometimes cold- in bluish or greenish grays- or warm- in earth or iron oxides. The work is firmly anchored in the last 500 years of technical oil painting tradition, and includes the contribution of digital technology and photography.
For the artist it has been interesting and particularly desirable to approach these themes with a language that synthesizes and contains the great breadth of plastic and visual resources that we have been accumulating as a culture. It is the result of a lifetime study of classical works, techniques of painting, geometric and harmonic lines, with a great emphasis on the modeling of chiaroscuro. The treatment of light and composition attempts to involve the viewer and make him/her participate in the scene that appears vividly and intensely before his/her eyes.
Aware of contemporary artistic values but very respectful of the rule of personal artistic sensitivity, the painter has found it necessary and essential to approach this way of “good work” from the perspective of the traditional craftsman, as a way of keeping the taste for this noble and ancient- but always current- craft of painting alive.
